I bought this for my father who is a offshore engineer and uses this impact on every thing he works on at home. I've used one for about three years. Now yes if you are going to be working on heavy,heavy,equipment daily then you might need a heavier torque rating. I've seen this impact in mechanic shops, tire shops, we put a new rear end in 86 one ton last week. Hum it's just a great wrench all Aluminum body not as heavy as some of the new plastic composite ones IR ect. They even have rebuild kits should you ever gum up the gearing from bad air and or oil.
